New Abbey Heritage Trail

Launch of the Abbey Heritage Trail Project: Information trail with official opening at 11 a.m. Walks will leave the Market Place at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

JesterMinstrel

A medieval jester and minstrel will be in the Market Place to provide entertainment for the launch of the Abbey Heritage Trail .

Abingdon Traditional Morris Dancers. Local History Stalls. Heritage Day Information.

Children’s Activities

Mediaeval printing and craft, and competition trail.

Victorian Walk

Led by the Town Archivist Jackie Smith. Duration: 60 minutes. Book at the Information Centre (01235-522711 or info@abingdon.gov.uk).

Model Railway Layout of Abingdon Junction.  

Old Pubs of Abingdon

Many of Abingdon’s old pubs will display heritage artefacts and pictures, and there will be a walk to visit the locations of pubs that are no more. Book at Information Centre (01235-522711 or info@abingdon.gov.uk).

MG Rally

MGs were built in Abingdon and many will be returning for a special rally on the Market Place.  

1556 Boundary Walk

Leaves from Market Place at 11:30 a.m. Duration: approximately 90 minutes.  

Fun in the Park

Abbey Grounds 2.00—5.00p.m. Stalls, games, fairground rides, brass band, arena entertainment, inflatables.
